View Full Version : "Images" directory within users home directory
I noticed that this directory was made when the users account is created. Is there a reason why these are here? I have deleted them all and did not see any missing images within the users control panel or anything. Are these images even used by the system?
If they are, what if a user has, for example, his own "logo.gif"??

Those images are for the "temporary" page index.html and login.html that are genderated by the CP for a new user account.
Beofre flooding the message board with stuff like you have done today why not play around with the CP before runing here and posting away. Read the doccumentation. Figuring out this question should have been simple.
Create the domain.... Go to the domain... See temporary page??? Well those images had to come from somewhere. YES the image directory in the users account. What a concept!
Like I said in another thread, the software was installed by a 3rd party and I was basically left on my own to figure out how in the hell to work this stuff.

I figured it out on my own... Read the documentation... there is TONES of it.
Point me to the doc that tells about the default images directory that is created for user accounts. I remember reading about the skeleton directory somewhere but cant find it now.
I would love to change this to /cp_images/ or something like that so that users can still make use of the images directory for their own stuff.

Dude you have to look on your own accord, I honestly don't have time to be combing docs for you right now, I had to do it at some point too. Just spend less time posting here and more time learning the software. No offence intended. It just the best way to learn it. Get in through shell and start poking around, it's really easy once you get your head in to it.
If you need help I run a design company and we could help you out for a small fee since we have a good grasp on the software, but like I have stated before to others I can not work for free as I have bills to pay too. If you need our design skills contact me through http://www.neuronitrate.com (not advertising!)
Anyway good luck.
You have all the answers, yet you have NO answers. So why dont you just stop posting in my threads and mind your own damn business?
Moderators, feel free to close this thread. Thanks

LOL... Fine... With that attitue no one here will be helping you. Do us all a favor and read the documentation and stop filling the messageboard with questions that can be found in the docs.
End of forum. Have a nice day.!

Read item 12.3.
And learn how to do research on your own. Don't attack people who are telling you to RTFM when you obviously aren't willing to try. Nearly all of your questions are in the documentation if you'd just bother to look.
Good luck.

RTFM? Is that Read The F***ing Manual? Crude but true, thats how I learned.
"They are located in the directory /hsphere/shared/skel/website of the web server and should be customized according to the scheme suggested in the"
Looks like its cutoff..... am i missing any important details?

Go in shell....
cd /hsphere/shared/skel/website
The files in there are the ones that show up un the new accounts directory... Edit them to you liking.
Was that enough help for you ?
Here is some more...
Use the vi command to edit the files....
vi index.html.in
or
vi login.html.in

Mega Hosters (or whoever the hell you think you are). I wouldn't normally waste time on people like you, but YOU are the one with the attitude problem. The forum is intended to allow people to SHARE information, SHOULD THEY WISH TO DO SO. You are just sore because you had a headache getting through this stuff in the first place and you're taking out your frustration by giving people sh*t. If you don't want to share whatever paltry knowledge you have managed to gain, THEN STAY OUT!

Why would you revive a 6 month old post just to post blatant ad hominem attacks? Someone please just close this thread.

Well I am not one to leave things alone, so here is my Rant.
Simon C. This post is over a year and 6 months old. You don't know the circumstances surrounding his attitude. Have you ever come here to the forums, and seen 20 messages posted from the same guy in all the forums asking questions that have been asked a million times, or better yet are answered in the plethora of documentation available online?
Peace Out
Craig
